the VX is just bigger and has that useless 2nd scroll wheel. I also like that the MX's USB 'dongle' slips right into that little compartment so you dont loose it.

It's the other way around - the MX has the second 'useless' thumb wheel and the VX has the micro-sender unit. I prefer the bigger MX for exactly that reason.
